Welcome to Norpaq’s atlantic salmon fly fishing adventures

Escape to the far north wilderness of the remote George River and fly-fish for Salmon in one of Quebec’s most renowned & isolated Atlantic Salmon Rivers in Canada. Settled in Ungava district of Quebec for the past 50 years, we have been providing World Class, fly-in Salmon fly fishing trips to sportsmen from around the world. Family owned and run by an experienced team of professional guides and staff, Norpaq offers you a unique wilderness adventure in an area that has been referred to as “ The Land God Gave To Cain “.

Flowing for more than 560 km towards the Ungava Bay, the George River was traveled, more than 5000 years ago, by the first nations to reach caribou hunting grounds. It has, since then, been the host of many pages of history; ancient aboriginal tribes, famous wilderness expeditions, anthropological studies, breathtaking sceneries, fishing and hunting adventures…those are only a few of the unique distinctions that made of the George River a world renowned heritage.

Its peerless salmon fishing is unmatched in terms of productivity and our numerous pools can either be waded or fished from our freighter canoes.

We proudly offer you the fishing experience of a lifetime, an experience you will cherish forever.

Testimonials

  • The fishing was in general spectacular and truly exceeded my expectations. I would describe the catch as 300 brookies, averaging over 2 pds, my largest being a 5-pounder. The food was very good and plentiful and the noon meal of brook trout on the river was awesome. A BIG thanks for some wonderful memories.

  • In the north, big trout are old trout. We have something very special here; we want to keep it that way.

  • Thank you so much for your efficiency and planning. It was a picture perfect from every aspect. It’s not too often that teenagers marvel at the world and admire its people. But after this trip, they truly believe that Canada is a great and fantastic miracle from god.
